Retired CSU Librarian Callie McGinnis will present a program on newspaper research for genealogists.
Today, thanks to digitization, researchers have access to thousands of U.S. newspaper resources – some free and some for fee. Callie will talk about identifying newspaper resources and locating them online and in print (for those not digitized). Her talk will also feature tips for searching newspaper databases and what to do with the articles you find. Callie’s presentation will cover the big picture of U.S. newspapers, with a short segment on the excellent array of Columbus newspapers accessible to researchers.
