In November, the Muscogee Genealogical Society will be celebrating its 40th anniversary. The organization will celebrate by hosting an anniversary event on Sunday, November 6 at the Columbus Public Library (time of event to be announced shortly). The program will contain a segment formatted like the popular TV programs “Finding Your Roots,” “Who Do You Think You Are,” and “Genealogy Roadshow.”

Individuals wanting assistance charting their family trees and/or answering specific questions about their families are encouraged to complete an application (Click here for the form). Society members will research the applicants’ queries and present the results of a few cases at the anniversary event.
