The Muscogee Genealogical Society has launched its own YouTube channel: “About Columbus, GA: History & Genealogy.” This channel is dedicated to:

• Sharing the history of Columbus, Georgia and the genealogy of area families
• Informing researchers about special resources that can help them in their genealogical and historical research.

We hope to be able to post at least one video a month — possibly two – and they will be short (like around 7 minutes).

Our first video is a presentation by Daniel Bellware, MGS Vice-President, on an early silent movie that was made in Columbus. It’s called “The Wrecker.”
